The forum observed that the precise documentation-based allegations made by Goyal have not been countered by Airtel due to their non-appearance in the proceedings. Goyal has been able to prove that there was deficiency in service on part of Airtel Limited, the forum ruled.

\nIt directed Airtel to refund the excess charges made from Goyal and pay a compensation of Rs 10,000 for causing mental agony, harassment and deficiency in services and Rs 5,000 as cost of litigation.
