This is an apparent move to cut cost amid weakening telecom business,\u201d an industry source said on conditions of anonymity.
Gaur is the US-based Amdocs veteran who was roped in by the Pune-based optic fibre company on an advisory role in May 2017, and in June last year promoted to the position of chief executive at the company\u2019s software business unit.
<\/div><\/div>Based out of California, Sharma was spearheading the company\u2019s software and Artificial Intelligence (AI) engineering, as well as multi-access edge cloud and programmable FTTX network since August 2018.

Agarwal further said that they have decided to move on their own accord, and would continue to support the company during the transition.
However, Gaur would continue to be an advisor to STL, the company in a statement added.
The predominant fibre maker has recently diversified into telecom networks and software services business.
Last month, the company has launched a digital telco platform to allow telecom companies to automate customer management and operations as well as provide new consumer insights.
Following the industry-wide debt of more than Rs 7.5 lakh crore and financial stress, the incumbent telecom carriers\u2019 appetite to spend has shrunk over the last few quarters.
<\/div><\/div>On the back of strong order book from the European and Chinese markets, the company was able to post a consolidated net profit at Rs 140 crore in June quarter this year, at a time when domestic business continues to slump coupled with payment delays.
The company has an outstanding worth nearly Rs 200 crore on state-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL<\/a>) against optic-fibre cable (OFC) supplies.
