<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>New Delhi: Telecom<\/a> operator Bharti Airtel<\/a> today said it has inked a content library partnership with the leading OTT platform Zee5<\/a>. Under the partnership, Airtel<\/a> will provide ‘free unlimited’ access to Zee5’s digital library to its Airtel Thanks customers as part of their Airtel Thanks benefits.

The special offer for Airtel Thanks customers has been made available from May 4 and will be valid till 20 May, 2020. Under this special offer, customers will be able to access the entire digital content library without having to pay subscription charges.

Airtel already offers free membership of Amazon Prime video for a year with its Rs 349 prepaid plan and Rs 499 postpaid plan., which otherwise costs Rs 999 per year. Airtel is also offering access to OTT content from Zee5, HOOQ, Eros Now, ALT Balaji, etc on
Airtel TV<\/a> Premium.

Manpreet Bumrah, Business Development & Commercial head, Zee5 India said, Zee5 aims to expand its reach through this partnership with Airtel and added that it aims to bolster its presence across the country.

“We are certain that the plethora of choices we offer will keep the Airtel customers highly entertained throughout this summer,” added Bumrah.

“We are delighted to work with Zee to bring high quality premium video content to our customers as part of the expanding Thanks Rewards,” said Shashwat Sharma, Chief Marketing Officer, Bharti Airtel.

The telco on Friday had reported that its digital content platform Xstream has recorded a 50% jump in streaming volume during the ongoing nationwide lockdown. It added that the Xtream platform registered an increase in the average session time.

The number of daily sessions per user also increased by 40 per cent as people are spending more time inside homes, Airtel said, adding that the platform noticed an increase in demand for retro content during the lockdown period.
