<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure> Aurangabad: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. (BSNL<\/a>) employees<\/a> have decided to hold a protest<\/a> during the lunch hour on Tuesday, as a part of a nationwide agitation.

According to the BSNL Employees’ Union, the organisation’s staff have not received their salaries for the last two months, while the contract workers for four to six months.

“The employees who recently opted for the voluntary retirement scheme (VRS<\/a>) are also suffering as their payments are also outstanding.”

The union stated that the amount deducted from the salaries of the employees for various purposes like society, GPF and LIC are not deposited in the respective accounts.

Around 80,000 employees of BSNL across the country, including 220 in Aurangabad opted for VRS.

According to Ranjan Dani of the employees union, a vacuum has been created with the absence of these employees, affecting work.

Besides the salary issue, the union is demanding introduction of BSNL 4G<\/a> across the country and implementation of the Union cabinet decision on financial assistance to BSNL through bonds.
