State-owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL<\/a>) has launched a new long-term plan for prepaid users. The plan that offers only voice calling benefits and has been launched in Kerala telecom circle. This BSNL plan is live starting December 1.
BSNL Rs 999 prepaid plan: What users get<\/strong>
As part of the new plan, BSNL prepaid users will get unlimited voice calls to any network including Delhi and Mumbai circles with a FUP limit of 250 minutes per day. This plan offers PRBT or personalised ring back tone facility which is basically setting up a special tone instead of the default ring.
Both benefits that this plan offers are valid for 220 days since the date of activation of the pack. Notably, the plan doesn’t include any data or SMS benefits and BSNL subscribers will have to buy separate pack for data benefits.
Just last month, BSNL launched a similarly priced plan of Rs 998 — also with long-term validity — in Kerala region. However, this plan only offers data benefits. This plan offers 2GB daily data for a validity of 210 days. The BSNL website states that the plan offers 2GB per day data and after the limit is reached the speed is reduced to 80 kbps.
Before this plan, BSNL had also launched a Rs 997 prepaid plan in all telecom circles. Unlike the two aforementioned plans, this plan includes both data and calling benefits. As part of this plan, BSNL subscribers get unlimited voice calls to any network including Delhi and Mumbai circles. However, there is an FUP limit of 250 minutes on the calls. On the data front, they get 3GB daily high-speed data. Once the limit of 3GB is crossed the speed of the data is reduced to 80Kbps. Apart from these benefits, the plan also includes 100 SMS messages per day. The plan comes with a validity of 180 days.
