CHENNAI: A day after TOI reported about non-functional landline<\/a> connections in the city suburbs, BSNL<\/a> Chennai Telephones<\/a> took immediate action to restore them. The state owned telecom operator has restored four landline connections attached to a small scale industrial firm at Thandalam in Sriperumpudur on Wednesday.

\nAccording to N Krishna Kumar, proprietor of PVC pipe manufacturing unit, BSNL's divisional engineer contacted him and sent a personnel to resolve the issue. The workers, who visited the spot on Wednesday rectified the cables.

\nNow, all the four landline connections have been restored, resulting in activation of broadband as well. TOI had highlighted the ordeals of the subscriber, whose landline connections were not working since mid-June and repeated complaints to officials turned out to be a futile exercise.

\nChennai Telephones, BSNL's circle covers the city, Kancheepuram and Tiruvallur districts.
