This was stated by Union Telecom Minister
Ravi Shankar<\/a> Prasad while replying to written questions of BJP MP Dilipbhai Pandya.

\nPandya had asked about the progress made by the CBI and Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with their probe in the 2G scam.
\n
\nPrasad said the CBI had completed its probe in the main case and filed one charge sheet and two supplementary charge sheets.
\n
\nHowever, based on an Interim Appeal filed by an NGO before the Supreme Court, the then director of the CBI had reviewed the matter and ordered further probe in the case on the issue of roll out obligation and dual technology, in respect of Tata Teleservices Limited and Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Limited.
\n
\n\"Further investigation is also in progress,\" the minister replied.
\n
\nThe probe was ordered by the then CBI Director Ranjit Sinha.
\n
The Minister also said that as many as 16 show cause notices have been issued under
Foreign Exchange<\/a> Management Act (FEMA<\/a>) to 16 companies for alleged violation totalling to Rs 13,974.33 crores in 2G spectrum scam.
\n
\"ED is conducting investigations under FEMA and under Prevention of
Money Laundering<\/a> Act (PMLA). 16 Show cause Notices for alleged violation of FEMA totalling Rs 13,974.33 crores have been issued against 16 companies,\" he said.
\n
\nHe said attachment of property worth Rs 223.55 crore has been carried out in one case while in another Rs 742.58 crore has been carried out under PMLA.
\n
\n\"...further proceeding in respect of attachment has been stayed by the Supreme Court of India,\" he said.
\n
He said probe in one case was completed and a charge sheet against the then Telecom Minister
Dayanidhi Maran<\/a> had been filed.
\n
