NEW DELHI: Spanish telecom<\/a> operators Cellnex<\/a> Telecom<\/a> and Finland’s Nokia<\/a> have signed a partnership to deploy private networks<\/a> for enterprise customers.

Cellnex<\/a>, through EDZCOM, has been working with Nokia<\/a> in deploying dedicated wireless networks<\/a> for companies in industries, such as energy, transport and logistics, manufacturing, mining, and healthcare.

Dedicated private wireless networks<\/a> allow enterprises<\/a> to operate mobile services and fixed wireless access (FWA<\/a>) separately from public networks<\/a>, which provides advantages such as faster deployment, lower latency, and low operating costs.

More recently, the technological advancement in wireless connectivity<\/a> and infrastructure has caused the market for private networks<\/a> to grow even more rapidly in Europe. These developments now allow Cellnex and Nokia to step up their collaborative commercial efforts in different countries in the region.

“Cellnex and Nokia have a strong and trusted partnership. Leveraging the business resources of both companies, will allow us to boost industry 4.0 growth,” said Mikko Uusitalo, General Manager – Mission Critical & Private Networks, Cellnex.

“We are excited to expand our partnership with Cellnex to enable digital transformation across an array of industries,” said Matthieu Bourguignon, VP Europe, Enterprise Sales, Nokia.

Nokia says to have deployed mission-critical networks to over 2,200 enterprise customers in the transport, energy, large enterprise, manufacturing, webscale, and public sector segments around the globe. It offers its expertise to more than 450 large private wireless customers globally.
