Cisco in a statement on Tuesday said that the dedicated Webex India infrastructure will enable the company to offer India-specific pricing for customers, lowering the cost by over 50%.

The data centre will offer a host of services to customers and allow Cisco to sustain its growth, facilitate improved user experience, and deliver security and management across the Webex suite, the company said.

Furthermore, the data centre will allow Cisco to partner with more start-ups, customers, partners, and service providers in India and bring new innovations to market faster.

News agency PTI recently reported that Cisco has obtained the Unified Licence for national long distance and international long distance services, which will allow it to connect with local and international data centres.

“Our goal is to create a more inclusive work experience for the three-fold growth expected in the number of digital workers in India by 2030,” said Dave West, President, Cisco APJC.
