<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>NEW DELHI: US-based telecom gear maker Cisco<\/a> and T-Mobile<\/a> have partnered to offer Cisco<\/a> Meraki’s 5G<\/a> mobile gateways, the MG51 and MG51E, to businesses for enabling fixed wireless access (FWA).

The companies said in a joint statement at the
Mobile World Congress<\/a> 2023 Barcelona (MWC23<\/a>) that the gateways will allow businesses of all sizes to create “enriching and differentiated experiences” for their customers using simplified, scalable, and reliable network-managed services powered by T-Mobile<\/a>'s 5G<\/a> network and the cloud-based Cisco Meraki platform.

“The Cisco Meraki cellular gateways introduce a new, 5G-powered, cloud-first way of doing wide area networking (WAN). With the full-stack Cisco Meraki secure software-defined branch (SD-branch) platform, T-Mobile for Business customers will be able to take advantage of the cloud-native Cisco Meraki platform…on 5G network,” the statement said.

T-Mobile managed service will offer a range of capabilities based on the Cisco Meraki platform, including resilient WAN connectivity; up to 2Gbps download and 300Mbps upload speeds; lower latency; and security features such as auto VPN, firewall, threat projection, and native security protocols such as WPA2-Enterprise, among others.

“For Cisco’s Private 5G, NTT will provide network infrastructure design, deployment, run operations, use case development, device sourcing, compatibility, and end-to-end testing,” the company said in a statement.<\/p><\/div>
