\n‘Tellon’ is a campus networking app aiming at connecting every school, college, student, faculty and alumni. It also assists students to find a mentor who has passed out from the same campus, provides expert tips for competitive examinations, helps in acquiring good jobs and internship. The app also has a new feature Campus Captain that can help in college and university elections and TALK, that assists students in clearing their doubts about lessons which they could not understand in classrooms. The app also has buying and selling feature for students under which they can transact materials.

Two months old ‘Tellon’ is the youngest app in the world to be selected for the programme. The app already has more than 500 downloads on Google<\/a> play store and it is spreading its wings and is found in smartphones of city youngsters.

FbStart programme provides mobile and app developers<\/a> across the world free aids and services to help grow. FbStart gets support from Facebook product experts, an exclusive community of global start-ups, and has provided millions of dollars in free tools and services from premier partners. Any developer who has launched a working mobile app in Apple<\/a> or Google<\/a> Play app stores is eligible to apply for FbStart.

\n‘Tellon’ will receive credits of $40,000 along with free tools and services from Facebook and its more than 30 partners, including Amazon, UserTesting, Dropbox and MailChimp. Besides partners, the app will get free access to more than 25 services, including open source tools like React Native, FB Login and Account Kit and App Analytics.

\n‘Tellon’ will also get an opportunity to connect directly with the Facebook team and be enrolled with social media giant’s exclusive community of global start-ups that include Adobe, Coursera, Dropbox and Salesforce.

\nSingh and Mate, a BSc and an engineering graduate respectively, founded the parent company TIK Info Services Private Limited in 2015 and launched the app in April this year.

\nSingh told TOI, “We wanted to make college experience meaningful wherein students are not required to bother about their future and lifestyle so that they could focus on education. We are coming up with many more updates for the app and hope that customers will benefit from our services.”
