Microsoft<\/a> India has reported more than $1 billion in revenue last financial year. According to financial data accessed by business intelligence platform, Tofler<\/a>, Microsoft Corporation India Pvt Ltd has reported a 13% growth in revenue in 2018-19 to Rs. 7301 crore.

The company’s revenue for the past two years stood at Rs 6456 crore and Rs 6392 crore, respectively in FY18 and FY17.

Microsoft India reported an 8% jump in net profit to Rs. 386 crore during the same period. Microsoft India's total expenses for the fiscal were reported as Rs. 6,699 crore.

Analysts said the company’s growth is majorly boosted by
Azure<\/a>, its cloud business, and Office 365<\/a>, in the Indian market.

“Overall the company is doing well and it is growing more than 10% year over year. It is a good growth. While overall enterprise adoption of
cloud computing<\/a> and other emerging technologies is increasing; Microsoft’s engagement with new age companies are contributing well to their India business growth,” said Sanchit Vir Gogia, chief executive, Greyhound Research.

Microsoft has been ramping up its India business through cloud-based solutions such as Office 365, Kaizala since the company has seen a declining trend in it traditional enterprise business.

While the retail software products business remained steady; the company has been realigning its goals to boost strengthen cloud offerings and infrastructure-as-a-service business.
