\nPUNE: A group of Information Technology<\/a> companies along with non governmental organisations<\/a> (NGO) have developed a curriculum for promotion of digital literary in the city

Pune City Connect organisation<\/a> and National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) Foundation.

\nOver 1 lakh volunteers will promote cashless transactions and
digital literacy<\/a> using this syllabus. These people, who are part of corporate sectors, will join ‘Digitize Pune’ initiative<\/a> of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC).

\nA programme to train some of the volunteers using this curriculum was held in the city recently. As many as 20 corporate firms have come together to provide the manpower. The volunteers will give training to people around them on how to use online transactions, e wallets, UPI Apps like BHIM, USSD and Aadhaar Enabled Transaction systems.

\nThese organisations have recently launched ‘Each One, Teach Ten’ volunteering campaign. It is part of a mission to attain 100% Digital Literacy in the city of Pune. They have set up 20 Digital Literacy centres in city. These initiatives target to promote union government’s ‘Digidhan’ movement. Volunteers will get a ‘certificate of honour’ once they complete training of 10 beneficiaries. NASSCOM Foundation is a non-profit organization driving technology for good. These organisations have developed a curriculum to aid the volunteers in the training process. Pune City Connect is a non-profit organization working in partnership PMC. It works towards improving the quality of education in municipal schools and creating 100% digital literacy in Pune.
