尽管印度的禁令,TikTok仍然是世界上最赚钱的应用

It\u2019s been over three months since the government of India banned a host of Chinese apps<\/a>. The list included Bytedance\u2019s wildly popular app TikTok<\/a>. However, it seems like the India ban hasn\u2019t had too much impact on the Chinese app\u2019s revenue stream. As per a report by Sensor Tower, TikTok raked in $130.5 million in worldwide user spending in September. TikTok was the highest-grossing non-gaming app on Apple App Store and Google Play<\/a> Store.

The report further revealed that compared to last year in September, TikTok made 7.9 times more money. What\u2019s interesting to note is that a whopping 89% of user spending on TikTok came from China. US accounted for 6% whereas Turkey contributed 1%. The numbers do look impressive despite the India ban as it was a critical market for the company.

Having said that, it\u2019s not as if TikTok hasn\u2019t been impacted by its prolonged absence in India. As per data released by Sensor Tower in April 2020 \u2014 when the app was thriving in India \u2014 TikTok had been downloaded more than 2 billion times globally across both the App Store and Google Play Store.
