MUMBAI: Sunil Bharti Mittal<\/a>\u2019s direct-to-home arm Airtel Digital TV<\/a>, private equity firm Warburg Pincus and Dish TV<\/a> have reached an agreement for merger and a formal announcement is expected in 4-6 weeks, two people with direct knowledge of the development told ET.One of them stated that now that partial stake sale in the Essel Group-owned Zee Entertainment Enterprises (ZEE) is done, promoters are focused on completing Dish TV merger.
\u201cThe talks were on hold because Essel Group promoters were busy with ZEE stake sale. Now that it is done, the three parties gave come back to the table to stitch the deal,\u201d one of the persons said.
<\/div><\/div>Second person added that it is deal of a complex structure. \u201cVarious options are being worked out, which are tax neutral. Lawyers and advisers at all three ends are working on various options,\u201d the person said.
