\nThe company, owned by Harsh Goenka, has appointed executive search firm Russell Reynolds to scout for a new chief executive. Natarajan, who has been at the helm of the company since 2001, confirmed that the firm was looking for a CEO but specified that no time frame had been decided as yet.

\n“When I move out of Zensar I would like to take up a role in skill development or the social sector, which are my passions,” Natarajan told ET.

\n“At this stage we would not like to comment on this,” a Russell Reynolds spokesperson said in an email.

\nZensar is a leading provider of technology services to marquee global clients in the manufacturing, retail and financial services verticals. It offers end-to-end capabilities in Oracle implementation and maintenance.

\nNatarajan has been credited for taking the company’s revenues from Rs 40 crore to over Rs 2500 crore. However with the mid-tier IT firm relooking at its portfolio with a more global outlook, a new head is on the cards.

Zensar has been making
investments<\/a> in acquiring capabilities in the digital segment. Last year, it purchased ecommerce technology firm Professional Access to help scale its digital business. Digital was about 13% of revenue at the end of FY15 and is expected to contribute at least 20% of revenue in next few years. In October, private equity<\/a> group Apax Partners<\/a> acquired a 23.2% stake for Rs 860 crore by buying out existing investor Electra Partners.

Natarajan also currently heads the industry’s social outreach efforts through
