\nCBI had earlier argued in the court that Essar Group<\/a> was \"effectively controlling\" LTL which had \"fraudulently and dishonestly\" misrepresented facts before the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) to acquire 2G spectrum licences.

\nIt had claimed that entire funding in this case was by Essar Group of companies and restructuring of firms was done to conceal the fact that the Group controlled LTL.

Essar Group promoters Ravi Ruia<\/a> and Anshuman Ruia, Loop Telecom<\/a> promoters, Kiran Khaitan, her husband I P Khaitan and Essar Group Director (Strategy and Planning) Vikash Saraf are facing trial in the case, along with three telecom firms -- LTL, Loop Mobile India Ltd and Essar Tele Holdings Limited.

\nThe five individuals accused, who are out on bail, have denied the charges levelled by CBI. The three firms have also denied these allegations.

\nCBI had chargesheeted these accused on December 12, 2011, alleging they had cheated the DoT by using Loop Telecom as a \"front\" to secure 2G licences in 2008.
\n
\nOn May 25, 2012, the court had framed charges against all the accused under section 120-B (criminal conspiracy) read with section 420 (cheating) of the IPC, while the substantive charge of cheating was made out only against Saraf.

\nThe recording of prosecution evidence in the case had started on July 26, 2012. 新德里:今天特别法庭决定下个月听到正在进行最后的参数情况下引起的2 g的骗局探针的倡导者爱萨集团和循环电信有限公司(LTL)正面临审判。

特别CBI法官O P赛,原定今天听到的论点,延期到12月9日作为法院听证会最终参数在一个单独的2 g频谱分配情况下的前电信部长拉贾和16人正面临审判。

CBI早前在法庭上辩称,爱萨集团“有效控制”LTL曾“欺诈和不诚实”歪曲事实之前电信部(点)收购2 g频谱牌照。
