<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>NEW DELHI: The Electronics Sector Skill Council of India<\/a> (ESSCI<\/a>) on Thursday said it has signed a pact with Samsung India<\/a>, under the Centre’s Skill India initiative<\/a>, to train the youth of the country in emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence<\/a> (AI), Internet of Things<\/a> (IoT), big data and coding.

For this, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Ken Kang, President and CEO,
Samsung<\/a> Southwest Asia, and Abhilasha Gaur, COO, ESSCI, according to an official statement.

“The programme, ‘Samsung Innovation Campus’ aims to upskill over 3,000 unemployed youth from 18-25 years of age in future technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Big Data and Coding & Programming,” the statement added.

Rajeev Chandrasekhar<\/a>, at the MoU signing ceremony, said that skilling should act as gateways to employability and employment – as their “Passports to Prosperity”.

“The more employment-oriented skilling is, the more aspirational it will be for the students and young Indians. There is no deficit of talent in the country but increased demand for talented and skilled Indians across the globe,” Chandrasekhar added.

The CoE will cater to the roles in Information and Communications Technology (ICT), cyber security, electronics, and communication including technical, services, and allied fields. This includes job roles for Internet of Things (IoT), call center executive, ToT, ToA, among others, the statement added.<\/p><\/div>
