\nNEW DELHI: The Canvas Turbo is Micromax's first smartphone with a full HD display. Even though Micromax is late to the full HD display segment, the Canvas Turbo includes a number of impressive features to take on the competition.

It has an aluminium unibody: we give it full marks for build quality. The matte finish back panel provides a good grip. The 5-inch full HD display shows vibrant colours with excellent viewing angles. The interface is similar to stock Android<\/a> and comes with useful preloaded apps.

\nHardware includes a 1.5Ghz quad core processor, 2GB RAM with 16GB storage. A user gets access to 13.5GB of storage out of which 1GB is available for apps. There is USB on the go support so a flash drive can be connected for extra storage if required.

\nPerformance for most functions is great. Multi-tasking and running apps simultaneously in multiple windows via the preloaded iFloat app was not sluggish. We did notice random frame drops in Asphalt 7 and Need For Speed, while full HD videos ran without any problems.

A highlight of the phone is its 13MP camera. It takes fantastic images in daylight — rich colours with sharp details. While low light images have a lot of noise, they are good enough to view on the phone’s display. The camera app offers features such as 360-degree panorama<\/a> and object eraser.
\n
The only thing we did not like was the 2,000mAh battery. It lasted less than a day with normal usage. For Rs 20,000, Canvas Turbo is an impressive device that proves to be excellent value for money. In the same price range, consider Intex Aqua<\/a> i7 that has similar specifications with 32GB storage.
