Gunaseelan Radhakrishnan, co-founder and CEO of Houzify, described it as \"execution without trial\", while Pai said it \"demonstrates the danger India and startups here face because of the monopoly of Facebook and its bad and unreliable behaviour\".<\/p> According to a message on Houzify's page, Facebook has put the onus on Houzify to resolve its dispute with Houzz, and then get Houzz to send a communication to the social media giant that the matter has been resolved for the page to be restored.<\/p> Houzz, a home improvement company that some say plans to enter India, has been threatening to take Houzify to court on alleged trademark infringement, a charge that Houzify disputed. But even as this was under discussion, Houzz acted on the Facebook page. Some Indian startup analysts are also upset. Sharad Sharma, co-founder of iSpirt, said healthy competition is good for everyone and having initiated a legal process, Houzz should have continued down that path.<\/p> <\/div><\/div>
Houzify had some 52,000 followers, and the social media network was a critical marketing vehicle for the 18-month-old venture. Facebook's India representative said the matter was being looked into.<\/p>
