Google has warned that the Competition Commission of India\u2019s (CCI) directions in the two rulings will lead to more expensive smartphones in the country.
In an extensive blogpost, the tech giant has said that the CCI\u2019s directions will lead to \u201cdifferent and unique\u201d versions of its patent Android<\/a> operating system for mobile phones.
These versions of Android, called \u201cforks\u201d would prevent Google from securing the devices<\/a> as they will not support the \u201csecurity and user safety\u201d features that the company provides.
In an extensive blogpost, the tech giant has said that the CCI\u2019s directions will lead to \u201cdifferent and unique\u201d versions of its patent Android<\/a> operating system for mobile phones.
These versions of Android, called \u201cforks\u201d would prevent Google from securing the devices<\/a> as they will not support the \u201csecurity and user safety\u201d features that the company provides.

This, in turn, will force OEMs to raise the prices for smartphones in the country, the company said.
