The search giant has requested CCI to maintain “confidentiality” of the probe and ensure that the findings are not leaked to third party including media. Google, which needs to file its response to the findings by September 10, has pleaded before the commission that leaked details of the probe may hurt its business interests and may weaken its case before the commission. It has also asked CCI to take affidavits swearing confidentiality from companies whose inputs are being taken for the probe alleging that some of the parties may be competitors who will gain from the case against Google. After submitting its response, the company will have to present itself before the seven-member commission headed by Chairman
