<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>NEW DELHI: Th Global Mobile suppliers Association (GSA<\/a>) on Tuesday said that it has formed a new ‘GSA Private Mobile Networks<\/a> Special Interest Group (SIG)’ with European telecom gear makers Nokia<\/a>, Ericsson<\/a>, and China’s Huawei<\/a> as its founding members to track and promote the private mobile networks ecosystem.

US-based telco software provider Mavenir<\/a>, Keysight Technologies, and Private5GandLTE have joined the group as permanent members, while more members will be announced later as they join, GSA said.

The aims of the GSA SIG for private mobile networks are stated as – to define the ecosystem, track it, and promote it. The scope also includes the continuous evolution of tracking in order to support the promotion of this industry<\/a> as well as the analyst community reporting on it.

According to GSA, at least 889 organisations are deploying LTE or 5G private mobile networks in one or more locations.
