NEW DELHI – Shares of GTPL Hathway<\/a> slid 4.6 per cent in early trade on Monday as the digital cable TV and broadband service provider said its profit after tax for the March 2022 quarter declined 4.3 per cent year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 54.5 crore.

The firm said that it witnessed a 17.5 per cent fall in revenue to Rs 617.3 crore compared to the year-ago period largely due to a fall in the EPC project business.

On a consolidated basis, GTPL Hathway reported an 8.3 per cent fall in net profit in the January-March period to Rs 56.6 crore on a 20.3 per cent fall in total income to Rs 627.8 crore.

On the segmental front, revenue from the cable TV Business came in at Rs 490.2 crore, registering a rise of 4.6 per cent year-on-year, while the internet service revenue stood at Rs 109.8 crore, up, 34.3 per cent on-year, reports said. The revenue from EPC Projects was at Rs 17.4 crore during the quarter under review, down a whopping 91.2 per cent YoY.

EBITDA in Q4 FY22 was at Rs 140 crore, down by 9.9 per cent from Rs 155.4 crore reported in Q4 FY21.

The company’s EBITDA margin was at 22.3 per cent in the fourth quarter of the previous financial year as against 19.7 per cent recorded in the same period last year.
