NEW DELHI: Shares of Himachal Futuristic Communications<\/a> (HFCL) jumped 4 per cent in Monday's trade after the telecom infrastructure<\/a> provider won a Rs 148 crore contract to lay the telecom systems for Larsen and Toubro's Mauritius and Dhaka metro rail projects.
The company's experience from its projects for Alstom<\/a> Services India, L&T Railways Strategic Business Unit and China Railway Signal Communication for turnkey telecom systems on the eastern<\/a> and western dedicated freight corridors of Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India would help the company in executing the Mauritius Metro Express Project and the Dhaka Metro Project efficiently, MD, Mahendra Nahata said in a statement on Sunday.
Under the contract, HFCL will not only install and commission the telecom systems, but will also train staff for it, the statement added.
