\nQ) How has been the response to Nokia<\/a> smartphones since the return of the brand in India?<\/strong>

So, the brand actually never left India. We always sold feature phones<\/a> for many years but yes, we are launching Android smartphones now. The response has been overwhelming and very positive from customers and the entire ecosystem, be it the operators, retailers, e-commerce partners or distributors. We have 450 exclusive distributors for Nokia. We are off to a very good start, look forward to better days ahead.

\nQ) How do you look at the 4G feature phone segment?<\/strong>
\n
\nThat is an evolving technology. We are waiting and watching how that technology evolves and if there is an opportunity we will consider intricate but at this point we are just waiting and watching how this technology evolves over the 2-3 months. We are still thinking through it, and haven't yet finalized anything. We are discussing internally. Once a clear trend emerges we'll be in a better position to take a call.

\nQ) How handset bundling with telecom operators is going to help companies like Nokia?<\/strong>
\n
\nHandset bundling makes it easier for the consumer to access internet if they have good bundles with them. We can also make them more affordable. It will also create awareness about things that you can do on the internet. So, I think over all these bundles will help the take up of of internet within India.

\nQ) Your take on the competition. How intense has it gotten in the last 6 months?<\/strong>

\nThis industry has always been very competitive. We at Nokia have a certain vision for the brand and have certain plans on how we want to build the business over the years. That’s where we are focused. Competition is always there. But our strategy has been built based on what we would like to build this plan to be in the future. We are focusing across channels. We have put the consumer in the centre of everything.
