<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\nNEW DELHI: Country’s leading telecom operator Airtel has rolled out a new prepaid plan for the first and second time recharge subscribers. The new plan of Rs 248 introduced by the company will be available for the users who are recharging their Airtel number for the first or second time.

As reported by Telecom Talk, the new plan of Rs 248 has replaced the old prepaid plan of Rs 229. Under this new plan, the telecom operator is offering unlimited local and STD calling with 100 SMS each day. Along with this, the Airtel users will also get 1.4GB of data daily as part of the plan. This new recharge plan comes with the validity of 28 days.

Along with the Rs 229 plan, Airtel has also discontinued the Rs 345 and Rs 559 plans. Both these plans were also available to the first time recharge users. Apart from the newly launched Rs 248 plan, Airtel also offer plans of Rs 76, Rs 178 and Rs 495 as part of the first recharge plans.

Under Rs 76 plan, the subscribers will get talktime of Rs 26 and incase the user exhaust this limit then they will be charged at 60 paise per minute. This plan is also valid for 28 days and also offer 100MB of data.

The second plan of Rs 178 offer unlimited calling facility to Airtel users. Along with this, the subscribers will also get 100 SMS per day and 1GB of data. This plan is valid for the period of 28 days.

The last plan in the portfolio is of Rs 495. As part of this plan, users will get unlimited local and national calling with 100 SMS and 1.4GB data per day. This plan comes with the validity of 84 days.

These plans of Airtel will face competition from Reliance Jio<\/a>’s Rs 198 plan and Vodafone<\/a> Rs 199 plan. The Mukesh Ambani-owned telecom operator is offering 2GB data per day with unlimited calling and 100 SMS at Rs 198. Along with this, the Jio users will also get free access to the Jio Suite apps which include JioTV, JioCinema and others.

On the other hand, Vodafone<\/a> offer unlimited calling, 100 SMS and 1.5GB data per day under Rs 198. This plan is valid for the period of 28 days.
