<\/figure>NEW DELHI: Hughes Network Systems<\/a>, LLC (Hughes<\/a>) said it has been selected by Indonesian Internet Service Provider<\/a> (ISP) PT.Diwi Tunggal Putra (DTP) to deploy satellite connectivity<\/a> across 1,400 rural locations in the country.
Hughes said it will deploy its Jupiter System<\/a> platform, including a Jupiter gateway and terminals powering service on the KTSAT 7 (KT7) satellite that will provide broadband across Indonesia and into Papua, as per an official statement.
With this, DTP joins other Indonesian operators that have implemented the Hughes Jupiter platform across cellular backhaul and internet access sites to support the LC1 and LC2 (Leased Capacity) broadband initiatives of BAKTI, a division of the Indonesian Ministry of Communications and Information.
