In contrast, Airtel hasn’t registered big gains from this shift, it added.

The Kolkata metro circle, which comprises 24 million subscribers, currently sees Jio at the helm with a market share of 43%. In comparison, both Airtel and VI hold around 24% and BSNL<\/a> lags behind with 9%. The data on the Visitor Location Register<\/a> (VLR), a crucial measure of active subscribers, reinforces Jio’s lead, with 98.5% against Airtel’s 96.5% and Vi’s 88.5%. In the home broadband segment, Jio recorded an addition of over 13,000 subscribers in March 2023 and reinforced its leadership.
