Following the US-based Intel<\/a>'s funding, total investment in billionaire Mukesh Ambani-owned Jio Platforms reached to Rs 117,588.45 crore, led by Mark Zuckerberg-headed Facebook<\/a>.

<\/div><\/div>The development closely followed by an investment of 11,367 crore from Saudi wealth fund PIF in Jio Platforms after similar investments from L Catterton, Adu Dhabi Investment Authority, Mubadala, General Atlantic, and Silver Lake Partners.

Mumbai-based Jio which had forayed in telecom business back in September 2016, has a subscriber base of more than 385 million and aims to digitally transform India with a slew of next-generation services and new technologies such as cloud and edge computing, big data analytics, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, augmented and mixed reality and blockchain.
