\nIntex launched Aqua ACE II, a 4G-ready and 3GB RAM smart phone which comes with a customised version of Android OS called IDMOS. The customised OS gives a completely revamped look and feel to the interface and user features. The device also includes an MHL cable, which will project everything on the device onto the TV screen, thereby giving users the big screen experience.

\nIn the wearable segment, Intex showcased its kids smart watch named iRist Junior, which has parental guidance features like geo-fencing, calls and other security features. It also show cased Fitrist, a smart band, for health enthusiasts.

\nThe company also launched iRist Pro, the bluetooth smart watch which syncs contacts and call logs of the smart phone making it easy for the user to receive and answer calls, without requiring a SIM card.

\nNoida-based Intex, which became the No 1 Indian mobile phone brand for a quarter, as per IDC, is expanding indigenous manufacturing, with multiple facilities in India and research and development activities in India and China.

Intex had diversified into international business in 2013 from Nepal and has since established presence in SAARC<\/a>, ASEAN<\/a> and Middle-East region and a number of African nations.

\nHaving begun with ethernet cards two decades ago, the company has 16 product categories including multimedia speakers, mobile phones, LED TVs, power banks and smart watches. Mobile phones now make up more than half of the company’s overall business. It also owns Gujarat Lions, the latest cricket team to be added to the Indian Premier League.
