New Delhi: Smartphone brand itel, a part of Chinese Transsion Monday said it is extending the warranty support for all its models by two months amid the COVID-10 or coronavirus<\/a> pandemic. itel said the warranty is applicable for smartphones<\/a> whose warranty expires between 20 March, 2020 to 31 May, 2020.
For the convenience of its users, the warranty extension will be automatically applicable on and the warranty status can be checked by logging on to the Carlcare mobile application.
itel India said the decision has been taken in ‘good faith’ and to ensure that the customers can get extended warranty without paying additional charges. The smartphone brand added that the initiative will relieve its customers from the worry regarding warranty due to the lockdown.
Earlier this month several smartphone brands like Oppo, Realme<\/a>, Huawei, Lava and OnePlus had announced the extension of warranty period of their devices<\/a>.
