Two people aware of the details said the case, which was filed on Tuesday, has been clubbed along with similar pleas filed last month by Bharti Airtel<\/a> and Idea Cellular<\/a>. Another source said Reliance Jio filed a plea to be heard in the matter as well, and all the cases will be heard together on November 15.

\n“We have said that the move is against the Trai Act and powers of the regulator, which are the grounds that were made in the earlier case as well,” a senior executive said, asking not to be named.

\n“We have also disclosed that the previous reduction from 20 paise to 14 paise has been challenged and is still pending in courts.”

He added that the order, of hearing the matter at a later date, was the same as that which was passed for Airtel and Idea after the court heard the matter on Wednesday. Vodafone<\/a> India confirmed that the company has taken the legal route but did not comment further. Reliance Jio did not comment.
