\nGhosh heads Wipro’s India and Middle East business, Pallia oversees the consumer vertical while Bala heads the manufacturing and technology businesses.

Wipro has also inducted these executives to the group executive council, its highest decision-making body. The newly-promoted presidents will continue to report to CEO Abidali Neemuchwala<\/a>.

\nIn an email response to an ETquery, a Wipro spokesperson confirmed the promotions and said, “They have also been inducted to the Group Executive Council, a forum for the core group of Wipro leaders to deliberate and strategise the long-term vision for the corporation.” With the latest round of promotions, Wipro now has eight executives who hold the rank of president.

The other four presidents include energy and utilities head Anand Padmanabhan, the first executive to be promoted to this rank; chief operating officer Bhanumurthy BM; banking and financial services<\/a> chief Shaji Farooq; and company veteran GK Prasanna, who heads newlycreated marketing, innovations and technology unit.
