<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>NEW DELHI: Fabless chipmaker MediaTek<\/a> on Monday launched the Helio G36 chipset with 4G<\/a>, WI-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0 support, which the company has designed for entry-level gaming smartphones in India.

MediaTek, however, did not release the availability details.

The octa-core MediaTek Helio G36 chipset<\/a> provides a peak CPU speed of 2.2GHz which is paired with the IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU, and it supports up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM.

The new MediaTek G-series chipset also supports up to 50MP camera, coupled with hardware depth engine for bokeh effect, and smartphone brands can use the Helio G36 to power up to HD+ 90Hz displays.

The chipset has a fully integrated global 4G LTE Cat-7 modem (2 CC-CA), and it also supports dual 4G SIM allowing VoLTE\/ViLTE services on both global bands and IMS services support.

“MediaTek Helio G36<\/a> is part of the MediaTek Helio G series<\/a> that features innovative technologies that boost the overall mobile gaming experience built on highly power-efficient TSMC<\/a> 12nm production process along with enhanced connectivity, and location services,” MediaTek said in a statement.
