Gayatri Kumar, a resident of Vijay Park extension, had bought a Micromax phone from Ashish Telecom in Pauri Garhwal on April 3, 2014. However, four months later, the device started giving trouble. The issue was brought to the notice of the vendor, who suggested that the device should be taken to Micromax service centre for repair. The litigant took her mobile phone to a service centre in Dehradun on August 25, 2014, but the staff there failed to rectify the defect in the device. Gayatri Kumar then sent a legal notice to Micromax. She claimed that she was sold a phone with manufacturing defect, which is why it could not be repaired at the service centre.<\/p>
