\"\" NEW DELHI: Handset-maker Micromax<\/a> has invested in a consumer technology and AI based start-up ‘One Labs<\/a>’ which has a flagship product ‘inOne<\/a>’ that would allow users to access apps across multiple genres including food, shopping, travel, deals, cabs, news, recharge, games etc.

\nMicromax’s funding will be used for further product development and have more than 200 apps on the platform within the next 12 months by opening inOne to third party developers thereby making it an instant app platform, the company said in a statement.

‘inOne’ will be pre-installed in Micromax devices<\/a> and will extend the features available to users on its Around platform. Earlier the company had partnered with startups like Ixigo<\/a>, Healthifyme, IndusOS<\/a>, Gaana.com among others.

\nThe company had earlier invested Rs 300 crores and would be investing additional Rs 200 crores in the next couple of years to become an electronics major.

\n“At Micromax our emphasis is to drive innovations through software and services that would add a layer to the device eco-system. Given the fact that, artificial intelligence is the future of device ecosystem, we look forward to seeing how the partnership with One Labs will enable us to enhance user experience even further,” said Vikas Jain, Co-Founder, Micromax Informatics.

\nOne Labs has also created an AI enabled chatbot solution called One Assistant which packages services provided on ‘inOne’ in a virtual assistant format.
