BENGALURU: Microsoft India<\/a>’s research<\/a> and development arm posted a nearly 30 per cent jump in profit<\/a> for the financial year, driven mainly by higher sales<\/a> and a rise in software development projects, according to documents filed with the Registrar of Companies (ROC).

Microsoft<\/a> India R&D Pvt Ltd posted net profit<\/a> of Rs 271.3 crore ( Rs 209.48 crore) for the year through March 2015. Revenue climbed nearly 15 per cent to Rs 2,635 crore.

\nMicrosoft India R&D provides software development services, product support services and other support services, primarily for Microsoft, according to the ROC documents. The company said it would not pay out a dividend for the year in order to \"conserve resources keeping in view the expansion plan\".

\nIts software development services posted revenue of Rs 1,988.4 crore, while product support services reported Rs 598.7 crore, the firm said.
