Mumbai: Sewa Shram Shakti Foundation, a non governmental organisation, has moved the Supreme Court, filing an intervention application seeking swift recovery of statutory dues from telecom operators. The NGO petitioned that delays in recovering adjusted gross revenues (AGR) will cause loss to exchequer, violating fundamental rights of Indian citizens.
The petition comes on the back of Vodafone Idea (Vi), Bharti Airtel and Tata Teleservices (TTSL) moving apex court earlier this year, pointing out errors in calculations of AGR dues.
