<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure> NEW DELHI: Nokia<\/a> on Friday said that it has joined hands with Nordic<\/a> telco Telia<\/a> to strengthen its 5G network at the new mall of Tripla shopping center in Helsinki to deliver next-generation connectivity to consumers and enterprises.

Nokia’s 5G base stations and small cell technology will deliver huge capacity, low latency and reliable connectivity to the network, said an official statement.

The statement further added that retailers will be able to utilize AR and VR and will have greater control over stock levels and supply chain with in-store robotics to better handle item movements and placements.

“The retail industry has the potential to be one of the biggest beneficiaries of 5G and we are excited to see how consumers and businesses benefit from this 5G network at the largest shopping center in the Nordics, ” Ari Kynäslahti, Head of Mobile Networks Product Management Nokia said.

“It was always clear to us that the mall and Telia Finland’s new head office would be one of the initial building blocks of our 5G network, ” said Janne Koistinen, Director, 5G program at Telia Finland.
