<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>NEW DELHI: Finnish telecom gear maker Nokia<\/a> said Latvian telecom operator LMT<\/a> has selected its 5G Standalone Core<\/a> for deployment in the country, to deliver new services such as network slicing and network asset monetization.

“The deal widens Nokia’s footprint in LMT, which already uses Nokia Cloud Packet Core, Subscriber Data Management, and software solutions for 5G<\/a> signaling and cloud management,” the gear maker said in a statement.

The Nokia 5G SA Core<\/a> will give LMT the speed, intelligence, scale, and security to deliver 5G services while cost-effectively managing the telco’s network with near zero-touch automation and adherence to Service Level Agreements.

The 5G SA Core will also enable LMT to launch low-latency applications for its enterprise cusdtomers, and build new network capabilities, including network APIs and analytics.

The deployment will also include the Nokia 7220 Interconnect Router for data center fabric.
