NEW DELHI: Japan’s NTT Communications<\/a> on Thursday launched international data network services in India after acquiring the VNO-ILD network licence in March. However, the company does not have any plans of obtaining MVNO licence in the near future.

NTT has also planned an investment of $160 million for its data center expansion in India and has initiated the construction of two new data centres in Mumbai and Bangalore through its subsidiary
Netmagic<\/a> which is hosting and cloud service provider in India.

Also, the company is targeting revenue growth of 35% by March 2018 as told by
Sharad Sanghi<\/a>, MD and CEO of Netmagic in an interaction with ET.

\nThe data centers will become operational by April 2018 and will add 500,000 square feet of gross floor space after completion. Currently the company has 7 operational data centres in India.

Moreover, the company will also be launching its
SDN-NFV<\/a> services in India in November, as told by Sanghi at an event.
\n“NTT is also doing a lot of research on IoT on the global level and some of the learning will also be incorporated in India. NTT will be deploying some of its new technologies in Olympics 2020 and once its researched solutions get widely deployed, they’ll also be deployed in India,” added Sanghi.

The company told that it implements its own value-added services such as NFV while leveraging the infrastructure of partner carriers in India. “For the past few years, our business in India has consistently grown 35% annually. We further aim to meet the market needs for mobility, e-commerce, Internet of Things (IoT), cloud and big data,” said

\nNTT has been providing Arcstar Universal One services as its international network services by partnering with local carriers.
