In a statement, the BBK-owned smartphone brand has confirmed that its first truly wireless headphones will be called OnePlus Buds<\/a>. These will be launched on July 21, among with the OnePlus Nord smartphone, the company said.
“With the new OnePlus Buds, we are further building out our portfolio of products that give our users a burdenless experience,” said founder and CEO of OnePlus Pete Lau. “Our users are looking for the right combination of great sound quality, seamless connectivity, and easy-to-use experience. That’s exactly what the OnePlus Buds will deliver.”
When it comes to audio accessory lineup from OnePlus, the company already has the neckband design wireless headphones — called OnePlus Bullets<\/a> — in India. These will mark the company’s entry into a new product category.
The launch event is set to take place through a live-streamed AR launch at 10AM EST (7:30 pm IST). Those interested in watching it live they can download the OnePlus Nord AR App from Google Play or the Apple App Store. As mentioned, these headphones from OnePlus will be launched along with the Oneplus Nord smartphone. This handset is known to come powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 5G processor. In India, it will be available via e-commerce website Amazon and details about its availability will be clear on July 21.
The company plans to make the OnePlus Nord<\/a> available for pre orders in the country starting July 15 on Amazon. Those interested in pre-booking the handset will be able to do so by paying Rs 499, for which, they will get a gift box containing limited edition merchandise from the smartphone brand.
