According to the index, the top five growth industries are production and manufacturing, banking\/financial services\/insurance, telecom\/ISP, IT - hardware and software, and media and entertainment. The lowest growth industries are real estate<\/a>, garments\/textiles\/leather, gems and jewellery, shipping\/marine, government\/PSU\/defence, and oil\/gas\/petroleum\/power.

\nHealthcare professionals registered a 100% growth in demand in the past one year between October 2014 and 2015; the highest growth in demand among all occupation groups. Online demand for the group has surged in the past three months. There has been a 37% growth in opportunities between July and October 2015. The group has also been registering a progressive year-on-year growth rate since July 2015.

\nYear-on-year, Baroda (up 75%) followed by Ahmedabad (up 73%) registered the steepest growth in hiring activity even this month. The growth momentum eased further in Baroda while Ahmedabad exhibited the same growth rate as the previous month.
