This will see the Centre’s ownership reducing to 49% while the private sector will have a 51% ownership, according to the proposal plan cited by the publication, which added that the overarching goal of the move is to make C-DoT a “global R&D centre” and a \"technological system integrator”.

The publication, while citing sources, also said that the Centre is looking to overhaul the corporate structure of C-DoT by forming units such as technology transfer and R&D. The management by the private sector will also “take the company out of government’s regulations in salary structure and procurement of raw technology, etc”.
