NEW DELHI: Reliance Jio<\/a>’s MyJio<\/a> app has crossed 10 million downloads in Google Playstore, indicating that the telco's subscriber base<\/a> may also have crossed 10 million users, according to report by Financial Express.

\nThe MyJio app allows users to manage their Reliance Jio accounts, and is a gateway to other digital services.

The report said that roughly half of Jio’s customers are probably those with 4G<\/a> but not VoLTE phones. The Jio4GVoice app, which is required to make calls through non-VoLTE phones, has had 5 million downloads so far.

\nMyJio, an app from Reliance Jio, became the most downloaded app on Google Play and Apple’s App Store in India, overtaking WhatsApp and Facebook, ET earlier reported.

\nAt least six Reliance Jio apps raced up the popularity charts a day after Reliance Industries Ltd. Chairman Mukesh Ambani offered them for free for more than a year. Jio is offering Jio app subscriptions worth Rs 15,000 annually for free to its customers till the end of 2017, alongside free voice calls for life.

\n Jio had rolled out the complete bouquet of these apps to its employees under a test launch earlier this year. Access to the apps was extended to the general public around May, following the availability of Lyf handsets. It was extended to all other 4G smartphone users who got the Jio free preview offer for 90 days.

\nWith these apps, Jio can become the largest over-the-top player in India and it has the potential to make inroads into the elite league of Indian app developers with the largest number of users, Cyber Media Research said in a note.
