“In recent years competition from
DTH operators<\/a> has threatened the viability of nearly 1 lakh LCOs who still operate across India. As firm supporters of local and small businesses JIO wanted to ensure that these LCOs continued to serve their communities,” Ambani said.

Earlier this year RIL acquired controlling stakes in three leading Cable MSOs – Hathway, DEN and GTPL who have direct relationships with over 30,000 LCOs.

The telco said that over the past months it has worked with MSOs to upgrade its infrastructure to world-class standards. “After these upgrades, our LCO partners will now be able to offer the largest bouquet of high-definition channels to customers.”

“With every JioFiber home all our LCO partners will continue to have a steady stream of revenue for their broadcast TV business.We look forward to extending this partnership to all LCOs across the country,” added RIL Chairman.

Jio has also announced JioFiber plans which will come bundled with subscriptions to leading premium OTT applications.

The company will also offer its premium JioFiber customers access to latest movies which will be released on Jio’s platform on the same day as the release in theatres. Jio plans to launch this service in the middle of 2020.

“近年来竞争对数运算符威胁的可行性将近十万的LCOs仍在印度经营。作为当地的坚定支持者和小企业JIO想确保这些LCOs继续为他们的社区服务,”巴尼说。

今年早些时候瑞来斯在三大收购控股权电缆美索- Hathway窝和GTPL与超过30000 LCOs有直接的关系。

电信表示,在过去几个月里它一直与美索升级基础设施世界一流标准。“这些升级之后,我们的LCO合作伙伴将可以为客户提供最大的高清频道花束。”

Jio还宣布JioFiber计划将与订阅领先豪华奥特应用程序绑定。
