NEW DELHI: The S&P BSE Telecom index was trading 1.12 per cent up at 989.64 around 02:17 pm on Monday with its components trading on a mixed note.

Shares of OnMobile Global (up 15.47 per cent), GTL Infrastructure (up 4.94 per cent), Bharti Infratel<\/a> (up 3.25 per cent) and Tata Communications (up 2.79 per cent) were the top performers in the index.

Tejas Networks (down 3.32 per cent), Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) (down 2.61 per cent) , Mahanagar Telephone Nigam (down 2.12 per cent) and Vodafone Idea (down 1.70 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 16.55 points at 10,737.45 while the BSE Sensex was down 29.2 points at 35,712.87.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 were trading in the green, while 29 were in the red.
