NEW DELHI: The S&P BSE Telecom index was trading 0.18 per cent down at 1031.35 on Tuesday with its components trading on a mixed note.

Shares of GTL Infrastructure (up 4.46 per cent), OnMobile Global<\/a> (up 2.17 per cent), ITI (up 1.48 per cent) and Tejas Networks (up 1 per cent) were the top performers in the index.

GTL (down 2.52 per cent ), GTPL Hathway (down 1.19 per cent) and Vindhya Telelinks (down 0.97 per cent) were trading with losses.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 102 points at 10,839.60 while the BSE Sensex was up 323.10 points at 36,176.66.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 40 were trading in the green, while 10 were in the red.
