NEW DELHI: Telecom shares<\/a> trading in the green in Tuesday's morning session.

Shares of Reliance Communications (up 4.94 per cent), Mahanagar Telephone Nigam (up 4.91 per cent), Optiemus Infracom (up 2.22 per cent), ITI (up 1.6 per cent), HFCL Ltd (up 0.88 per cent), Bharti Airtel<\/a> (up 0.52 per cent) and Vindhya Telelinks (up 0.31 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The S&P BSE Telecom index<\/a> was trading 0.26 per cent up at 1055.51 around 11:03AM .

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 83.00 points at 12136.95 , while the BSE Sensex was up 302.38 points at 41241.1 .

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 41 were trading in the green, while 9 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Trident Ltd, Ujjivan Small Finance Bank Ltd., SAIL, Indiabull Housing Finance, JSPL, Tata Steel, PNB and Tata Motors were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
